Lead magnet ideas for personal trainers.

By Jason Odell, founder of RiseForIt

A good lead magnet for a personal trainer is a tool that helps someone do what your video taught: a plan, a tracker, a checklist, a short challenge. A '5 tips' PDF repeats information they already have, so it rarely turns into clients.

Information isn't implementation

Everybody already knows to eat protein. The problem isn't knowing, it's doing. So the tool should take the thinking out of it for them.

Ideas that work

  • A 7-day plan for the exact problem in the video.
  • A simple tracker: protein, steps, sessions. One page.
  • A grocery list for one goal.
  • A 14-day challenge with a daily check-in.
  • A form-check video series for one lift.
  • A 'what to do when you miss a day' plan.

Then follow up

The magnet is the start of the conversation. Check in after every step. That's where the trust and the sale come from.

Common questions

Should I ask for an email or a DM?

Both work. Email you own; a DM starts the conversation faster. Ask for one.

How many lead magnets do I need?

One per kind of video. Start with one.
